Hoppy 7 month old birthday, Den!
You got to celebrate your 7 month birthday on such a special weekend!! We left Memphis Friday after Denny finished work and got into Cartersville around 12. You were kind of fussy from 530-7 but I entertained you (or at least tried) for that time and it seemed to make the time go by faster. You took your last bottle at 7 then slept the remainder of the trip. We even transferred you from the car to the crib and you never made a peep. Thank goodness you slept until 7 because we had a jam packed day!!
We went with Cap and Pat Pat to the Cartersville Country Club for an Easter egg hunt and lunch. You "found" one egg and enjoyed meeting the bunny!!
That night we got to celebrate Cap's 60th birthday. You were the hit of the party and everyone couldn't get over how much you looked like Cap's baby pictures. Pat-Pat took you home around 830 so that you could go to bed and we got report that you were "precious" and went straight to sleep after your bottle.
Sunday we got up early for the Easter service then came back to the house to open Easter baskets. You really racked up!! Thank goodness for grandparents that love to spoil you!! Even though the MiMi, Big D, and Shirley clan were in Destin celebrating Easter they got you the sweetest Easter happies. We missed them but look forward to seeing them soon!
Some of the exciting things you're doing now are sitting up for extended periods of time, scooting around (forwards and backwards), going from tummy to sitting up, you have one tooth, and my favorite--- the baby plank/downward facing dog. Of course, I love to see you babble!! Your babbling mostly consists of ba, ba, ba/da, da,da/ma, ma, ma/goo, goo, goo. You do have varying vowels and rising intonation when you're babbling. It's hilarious. Denny and I love to interpret what you're saying to your toys!! The toys you love are your keys, Mr. Lion, Neigh-Neigh, the lovie Sarah made you. You love to EAT!!! Your typical day is 630 bottle then nap, 10- bottle, 12- lunch (4 ounces), 130-330 nap, 430/5 eat (2 ounces), 630- eat (2-4 oz), bathtime, bottle. You DO NOT sit still ever!! I love that you're always so curious and persistent. You keep me on my toes but I'm curious to see what the future holds for you!
The one thing that you cannot go to sleep without is your sleep sack!!! We learned that the hard way!! Denny put you down without it when I was out of town for a girls' trip and you were up 3 times during the night!! Yuck!! Needless to say you wear your fleece sleep sac even thought it's 80 degrees outside! ha!
